There are two answers to that question. The first answer is no. The second answer is yes. The second answer isn't what people want to hear. So, let's get real here.

"You can't lose weight by walking an hour a day." First off, let's put the myth out of the window right now. Walking is great for your health, will improve your mood and has other positive benefits. In fact, you can walk your way to losing weight. It's just going to take some dedication and time.

"Is there a way to do it that won't be as hard as walking?" This is another reasonable question. The good news is that there are ways to make exercising fun and keep you motivated. Walking is hard. We all have to do it in order to lose weight. If we can make exercise fun, we're more likely to stick with it long term.

So can you lose weight by doing 10 minutes of pushups? That's correct, but it's not how you lose weight. You can get lean and fit and lose weight. The question is, can you find a routine that works and keeps it fun?
